Take one thing at a time honey. Concentrate right now on where you and your kids are going to rest your heads. You can't go into business or even think about it right now. That will come, trust me sweetheart.

If you have documented incidences of domestic violence, like police reports, hospital, children services interventions, the state should give your case priority. I know here in NY, Domestic violence survivors are the only ones to receive section 8 vouchers.
